This is the first known patch used by the Sheriff's Office. It was worn until the 1960's. |

This patch was worn by the Deputies of the Sheriff's Office from the 1960's until the late 70's. |

This is the third patch worn by the Washington County Sheriff's Office. This was in use from the late 70's until 1987. |

This design was worn from 1987 until 1993. |

This, the 5th patch worn by Sheriff's Deputies, was used from 1993 until 1997, when it was determined a new design was necessary. |

This one was designed in late 1997 by en employee of the Sheriff's Office. It is currently being worn, and is the first patch to be worn on both shoulders. |

This is the oldest pictured cruiser we have. This scheme was possibly placed in service by Sheriff C. Price. |

The green stripe / Gold Badge scheme was put in service around 1974 by Sheriff F. R. Ford. |

Sheriff Charles Mades changed the color scheme to a blue stripe / gold badge some time around 1986. This sceme is still seen on a few of our cars. |

This red and blue stripe scheme was placed on the cruisers in 1996 by Sheriff Mades. Almost the entire fleet is now using this design. |

This is the dark blue uniforms that were worn, beginning around 1974 by Sheriff F. R. Ford. Pictured here is Sgt. Richard Good (ret.). |

These are the current uniforms, light blue shirts and dark blue trousers. This uniform was first worn in 1993, placed into effect by Sheriff Mades. Pictured here from left to right are Capt. Mullendore, Sheriff Mades and Lt. Wilkinson. |

This is the Detention Center's uniforms, placed into effect in July of 2003. The Correction Deputies previously wore the same uniforms as Patrol. This uniform, light grey shirt / dark pants was chosen so the Correction Deputies were not wearing the same uniforms as the Patrol Deputies, and mistaking them for a Police Officer.
