WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Patrol Facility Dedication Ceremony

On May 13, 2003, the Sheriff's Office held a Dedication Ceremony for the newly renovated Patrol Facility.

The expansion to the Patrol Facility and renovation of the existing facility was first discussed in 1998. The Board of County Commissioners recognized the merits of the project and provided funding in 1999.

The Sheriff's Office worked closely with the architectural team to design a facility which provides the Patrol Division with 13,300 square feet of space. Construction began in September of 2000 and was completed in December of 2002. During the construction and renovation, the Patrol Division continued to occupy the facility.

The Sheriff's Office appreciates the hardships endured by the contractor and the Patrol Division staff throughout the renovation/construction process.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office would like to express our sincere thanks to the past, present, and future Boards of County Commissioners of Washington County. Were it not for their support and commitment to the Sheriff's Office, through funding of this and other projects, law enforcement would be unable to provide the quality of life which the citizens of Washington County have come to enjoy.

We truly appreciate the continued cooperative efforts between the Board of County Commissioners and the Sheriff's Office.
