Sheriff's-Citizens Law Enforcement Awareness Program

Thank you for your interest in the Sheriff's Citizen's Law Enforcement Awareness Program! This program is designed to help build understanding between citizens and law enforcement through education as to the function of this agency and it's responsibilities. Participants are given presentations of a variety of topics, presented by specialists from each of the positions represented. Below are links to download and print the application and schedule for the 2008 installment of our program. Due to the sensitive nature of much of the course curriculum, all applicants are subject to a criminal background check prior to participation in the class.

Classes begin on September 9, 2008 and class size is limited to 20, therefore, completed applications must be returned as soon as possible to allow sufficient process time prior to the beginning of class. Applications may be mailed or faxed using the information below.

Any citizen of Washington County, Maryland who is 18 years of age or older and who does not have a criminal record is eligible to participate in this program.
